Kids Are Precious..Handle Them with Care...

" PRAISE "

(a touching story...)
A mother once left her children with her single sister in order to work for three weeks overseas. Although she misses her children tremendously, she was also glad for a break. She was feeling worn out as a single parent, struggling to juggle her job and her role as a mother.Still learning to trust others and finding a soul mate for her self and a loving father figure for her children. As her tender heart is still mending upon her divorce. The demands of constant discipline towards her children sometimes seems too much. As she prepared to return to her family, she thought, I wonder how sis coped. I hope she heeded my parting words not to let them get away with things. The last thing she looked forward to was a round of arguing and reprimanding.

To her great surprise, she arrived at her sister's home to find her children playing quietly, eager to see her but quick to obey her sister's slightest request. " What did you do? " she whispered to her sister. " They're never this well behaved ! " Her sister replied, " Nothing, really. Before you left, I read a little article about parenting and I just did what it said." The woman said, " What was it? Give me the formula please ! "

The sister picked up the article and read, " tell children what to do, far more than you tell them what not to do. And then praise them for what they do- instead of criticizing them for what they don't do." Smiling at her sister, she added, " It seemed to work."
Mothers, touch your children,
Fathers, hug them tight.
Let them know you LOVE them
Morning, noon, and night.

Put your arms around them,
Hold them near to you,
Feel the beating of their hearts,
The life that you made new.

Roll around the floor with them,
Tease and laugh and play.
Listen to what they'll tell you,
They have so much to say.

Take time to get to know them,
See the colors in their eyes.
Appreciate that person
That deep inside them lies.
Let them run their fingers through
your hair and down your face.
Fill their hearts with words of praise.
Make home their favorite place.

Cuddle with them on the couch
And watch a t.v. show.
Sing with them or share a book,
And help their world to grow.

Take a walk into the park,
Hold each others hand,
Build castles in the sand.

Mothers, touch your children,
Fathers, hug them tight.
Show them what a gift they are.
To LOVE them feels so right.

" Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)
" While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is."
" Children are the anchors that hold a mother to life."
" Children need love, especially when they don't deserve it."
" Live so that when your children think of fairness and integrity, they think of you."
" You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance."

(Something to think about...)If you are a parent, read this. Better yet, keep it where you can read it regularly...

# 1) My hands are small, don't expect perfection whenever I make a bed, draw a picture, or throw a ball. My legs are short, slow down so that I can keep up with you.

# 2) My eyes have not seen the world as yours have; let me explore it safely; don't restrict me unnecessarily.

# 3) Make time for me, housework will always be there; I am only little once.

# 4) I have feelings too; don't nag me about my inquisitiveness. Treat me as you would like to be treated.

# 5) I am a gift, treasure me as God intended. Hold me accountable, give me guidelines to live by, discipline me with love.

# 6) I need encouragement to grow, not empty praise. Go easy, you can correct the things I do without putting me down.

# 7) Give me the freedom to make decisions, even if they are not always right. Permit me to fall, so I can learn to walk.

# 8) Don't do things repeatedly for me; that makes me feel like my efforts do not measure up to your expectations. Please do not compare me with others; I am me, not them.

# 9) Don't be afraid to leave me with grandparents so that you can have a weekend together. Kids need some times away from parents, just as parents need some time away from children. Besides it shows us that your marriage is something very special.

# 10) Take me to Gods house and introduce me to Him, because I will need Him for the rest of my life.
" Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward." (PSALM 127:3)
God sends us little angels
That needs special care
Do " Take care of these tiny gifts
For they are very rare."

"Watch over them with all your love
And let them feel your touch
Take care of their every need
For you are needed very much."

" These gifts will grow up very fast
As you soon will see
Love them with all your heart
And let them be what they will be."

" When these gifts have fully grown
Look at Heaven up above
Know they exist because of God
And all his precious grace and love."

Who is a friend?

NO FRIEND ON EARTH CAN BE A BETTER FRIEND THAN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
My Lord and Savior...

A FRIEND IS...
Faithful
A friend is always faithful to you, even during the bad times
 Reliable
A friend is reliable..you can count on them to always be there.
  In touch
A friend stays in touch, even though it may not be as often as you'd like!
    Enduring
A true friendship is enduring, lasting even when friends lose touch for a while.
Needed
A friend is always there for you when you need.
  Devoted
A friend is devoted to your friendship and will never do anything to destroy it.
My Lord.....

A reminder to respect our elders especially the sick the lonely....

This is such a touching, beautiful poem, please read it through.
God Bless,
Julia

When an old man died in the geriatric ward of a small hospital near Tampa, Florida, it was believed that he had nothing left of any value.
Later, when the nurses were going through his meager possessions, they found this poem. Its quality and content so impressed the staff that
copies were made and distributed to every nurse in the hospital.
One nurse took her copy to Missouri . The old man's sole bequest to posterity has since appeared in the Christmas edition of the News Magazine of the St. Louis Association for Mental Health. A slide presentation has also been made based on his simple, but eloquent poem.
And this little old man, with nothing left to give to the world, is now the author of this "anonymous" poem winging across the Internet.

 Crabby Old man
************
What do you see nurses?
What do you see?
      What are you thinking......
when you're looking at me?
A crabby old man,not very wise?Uncertain of habit...with faraway eyes...?           Who dribbles his food...and makes no reply?
When you say in a loud voice....."I do wish you'd try!"
Who seems not to notice ...the things that you do?
And forever is losing a sock or shoes?   Who, resisting or not...lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding ... the long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking?   Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse......you're not looking at me.

I'll tell you who I am .... as I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding, as I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of Ten......with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters .......who loved each other
A young boy of Sixteen ....with wings on his feet
Dreaming that soon now. ..........a lover he'll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty .........my heart gives a leap.
Remembering the vows........that I promised to keep.

At Twenty-Five, now..... I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide ........ and a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty....... my young now grown fast,
Bound to each other .....with ties that should last.

At Forty, my young sons have grown and are gone,
 But my woman's beside me........to see I don't mourn.
At Fifty, once more, ........ babies play 'round my knee,
Again, we know children ......... my loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me..... my wife is now dead.
I look at the future .............I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing ........young of their own.
And I think of the years...... and the love that I've known.

I'm now an old man.........and nature is cruel.
It is jest to make old age .......look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles..........grace and vigor, depart.
There is now a stone........where I once had a heart.

But inside this old carcass....a young guy still dwells,
And now and again .........my battered heart swells.
I remember the joys............ I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and living.............life over again.

I think of the years, all too few......gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact........that nothing can last.
        So open your eyes,
people...open and see..
Not a crabby old man.  Look closer....see....ME!

Remember this poem when you next meet an older person who you  might brush aside without looking at the young soul within...we will all, one day, be there, too!

~Kind thoughts~ (COMPILED)

Dear Friends,
Kind thoughts are so much better than either kind words or deeds.
They imply a great deal of thinking about others kindly.
Try this experiment. For the next 21days, do your best to suspend all judgment and criticism of others.
Instead, wrap every person you meet in a warm and loving thought of kindness. Don't just limit this to people around you, but apply it to everyone who comes to mind.
And for those you consider enemies, make certain the thought is especially kind.
(Remember we are to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us?)
There is a very good chance that by the time the experiment is finished, the way you habitually think about your fellow man will be forever changed.
May this day be filled with kind thoughts of me & others,
(COMPILED)
God Bless,

Sympathy (Album)

The death of a loved one is really painful to see..

But those who die in CHRIST have the blessed hope of eternal life..
They just sleep here to wake up in the Heavenly Father's presence.

We can bring comfort to people who have lost their loved ones...by showing we care and sympathize with them & pray for them. Sometimes all they need is our presence with them!

Building relationships :Take time to reach out.(Annie's memories)

Hi...
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usEveryday we hear of so many tragic deaths, passing away of loved ones and wonder how life flutters away.
So many who were there yesterday are not there to see this day.
But the one who dies in Christ has the blessed assurance of eternal life and a home beyond the sky.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usDo our loved ones know about our Lord Jesus Christ?
What have we done to share God's love with them.
Let's do all we can to share God's love with those close to us. Let's not put off for tomorrow what we can do today. Let's pray for the lost souls we know, TODAY.
Tomorrow may be too late.

Yesterday has gone, tomorrow may never be ours but 'Today' is God's gift to us.
LETS DO ALL WE CAN TO SPREAD SOME LOVE, TO REACH OUT & TO SHOW PEOPLE THE RIGHT WAY!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usWe sometimes get so.....caught up in our daily activities that we fail to see & appreciate the people in our lives.
Let's not take them for granted. Let's make our parents, spouse & kids feel they are special.
Let's not forget to kiss them good night, for tomorrow is not ours as yet.
Let's give them a hug & a kiss a they leave for work/ school or before we go out for the day for it's not guaranteed that we'll see each other in the evening.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usLet's remember to value our friends & leave them with good words so that we are fondly remembered.

I had this friend called Annie in college. She was my best friend during the 4 years I was in college & so beautiful too...!
After these 4 years I somehow lost touch with her & the next time I heard of her was around 4 years back. I was so shocked to hear from a common friend that Annie had died in a Bus accident & her body was taken home in so many pieces.
She was a hostelite when in college & I still remember how she use to wait for me everyday & shared all her joys, hurts!
She used to see me as her sounding board & also trusted me & shared her feelings with me.
She came from a troubled family & had never felt love at home. She was sent away to live in the hostel & study even as a kid.
I had to counsel her so often as she carried a lot of pain & hurt.
We've cried together, laughed together, we also had our share of misunderstandings.
When we had some misunderstanding, she was the one who used to reach out as she didn't want to loose this friendship we shared.
But 3 days before our final day in college (we had finished our graduation & were to part ways for good) we had an argument about something & I got mad at her.
(The sad thing is at that time both of us did not know JESUS as our personal Savior).
The 2nd last day when I went to college I passed around my autograph book to my class-mates to write a note for me...
This is what Ann wrote to me,
" What happened to our friendship Julie?? After all I am your Ann, why can't we forgive & forget everything. Please dear friend if at all I have hurt you by words or deeds please forgive me. Today I felt so...sad about our behavior. You were a nice friend & councilor too (still are). Cheer up Julie, only one more day. I'm sad & sorry about that fight. Wish you the best. "Yours Ann.
But I was really upset I didn't talk to her that day.
The next day was our last day...she came to me & said sorry again. we did hug & make up. but had just a little time to talk. That's the last I seen her.
We some how lost touch after that...(how I wish I had kept in touch!!)
Today she's no more.....That last note she wrote to me is the only thing I have with me.
When I heard she was dead...it broke my heart...you know the first thought that crossed my mind was whether she had given her heart to Jesus!
During our college days we both didn't know the Lord personally even though we were from Christian families.
But I wasn't sure if she got to know our Lord Jesus Christ personally as her Savior later on.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usThat made me think that we should never give up praying for friends who don't know Jesus....I would want to see Annie in Heaven I can only hope she was saved.
True Friends are so...precious ...let's treasure them & also keep praying for friends who are lost....

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usLet's not miss an opportunity to show the people in our lives how special they are & how much we love them.
Let's be wiling to forgive when people hurt us & also be ready to say 'sorry' when we upset them. Let pride for make us too hard hearted.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usSo today let's thank God for all the people in our lives & value these treasured relationships.
Today let's take time to tell them we care.
Let's do all we can to share about God's love to those who are lost.

Too often we don't realize

What we have until it is gone.
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong."

Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
We hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things
To tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let
Unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late
To see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know
How much they mean to you.
Take the time to say the words
Before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate
Everything you've got;
And be thankful for the little things
in life that mean a lot.

Have a Blessed day....
Julia
