When dad goes and never returns

"Honor your Father & your mother that your days may be long upon the land, which the Lord your God is giving you." Exodus 20:12

Doris Haase writes:

"When my Parents would go away, Mother would tell me that Aunt Ethel was going to take care of me. They always returned.

But when I was 5, Daddy got sick. He went away in an ambulance and Mumma told me he wouldn't be coming home.

When Daddy's strong arms had wrapped around me in a bear hug, I always felt warm & protected. But now everything changed. I crawled far under my blankets at night, trying to feel safe.

My mother came & sat beside me. " You miss daddy don't you honey?", she asked softly. "Well so do I. But you still have a Father-God Who lives in Heaven, let's talk to Him."
"Our Father" she said so earnestly, that I knew someone was really listening. "We need to feel Your Presence so we'll know we are not alone!"
Then she began to cry holding me. I pressed my face against her shoulder and let my tears soak her dress.

"Father-God" I whispered. Slowly a new comforting feeling filled me. I felt safe again, the way I used to when daddy was home,"

Can we tell the dads in our midst how much we love them and appreciate them?
Let us pray for them and speak a blessing over them today & not when they are gone!
God bless all days not just today but always....
Leslie Rajkumar you sure a great dad to your children!!

Training and teaching our little children

Hi..
If we show our children when they are young the right path to take and tell them about the only way of truth(John 14:6), as they grow older even if they go astray or wander away, they will know to find their way back!
What they learn as a little child they will not easily forget!
And pray at all times for them!
Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Be blessed,
Julia
