True Friends

#thankgodfortruefriends
#TrueFriends not only stay around in our most difficult times but will lead us out back into the light!
When we can't find a way out, and do not know how to come out of a situation, they not only give a hand but will show us a way to get out of the maze we are caught in!
A few #TrueFriends who stay by us through our #difficult and #dark times, are better than many #fairweather friends, who fade away in our hard times.
In The Bible many of Job's friends left him when he was going through the most difficult time of his life.
Job 19:14 My relatives have failed, And my close friends have forgotten me.
Job 19:19 All my close friends abhor me, And those whom I love have turned against me.
The fact of life is...
Proverbs 14:20 "The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor, But the rich has many friends."
But the truth is, 'True Friends' will love at all times! #Period!
Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity."
Today let us thank God for all our true friend, loves ones who stay by our side through thick & thin, good times & bad times, our highs & lows, up & down!
But the greatest love and the Best ever friend we can have is our Lord Jesus Christ!
If we follow Him and keep His commandments, He calls us His friends!
John 15:14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
And what more, He laid His life for us!
John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends."
God bless,
Julia

True Friendships (Posted by Michae)

~TRUE FRIENDSHIPS~
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…—Hebrews 10:24-25

As we read Paul’s letters in the New Testament, we learn a lot about how to build real friendships and godly relationships.
To the Thessalonian believers, he writes, "Encourage one another and build each other up."
To the Colossian church:
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom…"
As he addresses the Ephesians, he writes "Be kind and compassionate to one another..."
The kind of relationships God calls us to develop includes extending
"kindness with a backbone."
True kindness in friendship means we would not dream of looking the other way while a precious friend heads down a path guaranteed to cause him or her heartache.
True kindness means being willing to gently ask the "hard question."
True kindness prays diligently for a friend’s heart-change.
True kindness risks being misunderstood, and sacrifices being "nice" for being loving.
A real friend models his or her kindness after God Himself:
It’s the kindness of God that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Real friends humbly evaluate their friendships on the basis of whether their actions and words help their friends move closer toward the Lord Jesus.
Listen, according to Scripture, friends don’t let friends drive over cliffs!
