A NEW WANT AD? SOULMATE WANTED?~By Bro Owen

"Is there such a thing as soul mates?

YOU TELL ME!
Does God have one specific person for you to marry?"
The Bible does not indicate that there is a specific spouse picked out for each person. It is impossible for us to fully understand the ways of God.
We know that He knows us before we are even born.
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world” (Jeremiah 1:5).
He knows what choices we are going to make,
and knows whether we will turn to Him or not (Romans 8:29-30).
He knows the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:30).
If we give ourselves to God, and seek His guidance, He promises to direct us.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

People often make choices that are against the will of God – Christians and non-Christians alike.

Therefore if God had planned for us to be with one person only, and we miss the chance, then our life's plan would be ruined.
But the Bible says that even the most “foolish” plan of God's is far wiser than the wisest plan a human could devise (1Corinthians 1:25), which means His plan cannot be put off track.
When we decide to make the choice to follow God, I believe He will put in our path the right people and the right situations that will mold us into the people that He wants us to be.
Even if a Christian marries a non-Christian, God has the power to work miracles and change that person's life.
We, as humans, get ourselves into the messiest positions, but God in His infinite wisdom and grace can dig us out if we seek Him.

Although nowadays almost everyone marries, it is not in God's will for everyone to marry.
Paul said,
“I wish everyone could get along without marrying, just as I do. But we are not all the same. God gives some the gift of marriage, and to others he gives the gift of singleness” (1 Corinthians 7:7).

Neither one of these choices is better than another. Obviously God would not intend for everyone to be single, otherwise that would mean He intended for the earth's population to cease.
And He does not want everyone to be married because some people simply do better on their own. We all serve God in different ways. Either way, God wants to be the center of our lives.

If we seek His direction He will lead us the way He wants us to go and bless our lives to do His work

BE BLESSED,

BROTHER OWEN

Love and Forgive anyways...

Sometimes it is hard to smile and be OK when people people are rude to us....
But let's love them anyways.
Let rude people not steal our joy but may the 'joy of the Lord' be our strength.

Sometimes it is difficult when people refuse to forgive or accept forgiveness,
But may God help us forgive and seek forgiveness anyways.

Life is not always easy but in midst of all the hard and trying times we need God's grace and guidance every step of the way.
May Christ's love always rule and reign in our hearts.
May He help us to be humble and loving.
May we be the Light God's called us to be.
Jesus also said...
" If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, your Father in heaven will forgive you.But if you don't forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins."(Matthew 6:14-15)
" Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful." (Luke 6:36)
People are made to be loved but in today's world, people are being used and things are being loved.
Let's change that today and remember that a little love goes a long way.
So let's choose to love even those who treat us bad.
It is okay if others fail to see our hearts, our concern  or love.
Let us still choose to love, be kind and all that God wants us to be!
Let's remember..
"Revenge is the raging fire that consumes the arsonist." (MaxLucado)
‎1 John 4:"19 We love because he first loved us.
20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.""

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."
 ( Matthew 5:43-44 NIV)
" Christ's Heart teaches us to weave the thread of forgiveness into the very fabric of our lives."

One day, I was asked if I would forgive
By someone who had wounded my very soul.
The hurtful actions had shattered my heart
In the form of deceit and lies that were told.

My anger lashed out with fervor and force
To protect the wounds of ego and pride.
I could not contain the hurt I felt,
Nor the mournful sorrow I suffered inside.

How can I forgive, am I expected to forget
These appalling deeds directed at me?
And, if I forgive, will it happen again?
Just how vulnerable must I be?

I could not sleep, I could not eat.
I carried this anger bold and brave.
"I had been wronged; had been deceived."
The anger validation had all been saved.

But, I soon grew tired and weary of heart,
With the anger becoming a heavy load.
I prayed to God and humbly said,
"I am hurting; please help me down this road."

He said, "You must forgive . . ."
"Me, forgive? But it was I who was wronged!"
"But my child, you are the burdened one -
While the other stays healthy and strong."

"Forgiveness is for you, and you alone,
For you are the one carrying the load.
When you forgive, your burden will lift
And you will again travel light upon the road."

" Forgiveness does not change the past,
but it does enlarge the future."
