What's in your sponge? ~Author Umknown

What's In Your Sponge?
Author Unknown

There are 5 sponges laying on your kitchen counter top. Each member of your family has been cleaning up different areas of your home, but all the sponges look the same. You are curious as to what was cleaned in your home, but you can't tell by looking...they all look the same....so what do you do?

You squeeze each sponge to see what comes out. As you squeeze the first sponge, you see that cola comes out, and so you decide that someone

cleaned the kitchen with that one.

Upon squeezing the second sponge, you find tub and tile cleaner - that one was used to clean the bathroom.
Next, in the third sponge, you find motor oil -- hubby was cleaning the garage!

In the fourth sponge, baby powder puffs out when it is squeezed -- yep, the baby's nursery was done with that one!

And finally, in the last one, is floor wax -- that was the one you used on the hall floor!

As you lay the last one down, you look again at their similarity - and they all look the same until they're squeezed.

Christians are the same way. As life squeezes us, different things come out - anger from one, a need for revenge from another, tears from one, remorse from yet another - also greed, untruth, lust - and finally, from one saint, pours forth the love of Christ.

Just like the sponge, we can only squeeze out what is put in - stay in the Word daily, and be in continuous prayer, so that when life puts the squeeze on you (and it WILL), Jesus, and Jesus ALONE will shine forth from you!

Perfect Love: Compiled

 A PERFECT LOVE POEM ♥

Before the very dawn of time,
Before the earth was round;
Before there was a sight to see,
Or what we know as sound...

God formed you then, within is His mind,
With expertise and care;
He planned each detail in advance,
He numbered every hair.
He picked your very temperament,
He planned your every day;
He knew exactly what you'd do
And just what you would say.
He chose you then to be His own.
To live with Him on high;
He wrote you on His very palms.
The apple of His eye.
He made you gifts to pleasure you,
To brighten up your eyes;
He made the earth, He made the sea,
He made the endless skies.
To bring you joy, HE made the birds,
To see you smile, the flowers;
To comfort you when things go wrong
He made the springtime showers.
He gave HIS angels a command
To guard in all you do,
Because you're precious in His sight
He did all this for you.
And when He saw you steeped in sin,
With love personified
He cloaked Himself in human flesh ,
Came down to earth, and died.
With His own blood He paid the price,
He washed your sins away;
With love so great it conquered death,
HE rose on the third day.
And now He sits upon His throne
In heaven above;
He's waiting there to hold you close,
And all because of Love!

John 3: 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one

 and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life.
You Ask Why I Follow This Jesus?

You ask why I follow this Jesus?
Why I love Him the way I do?
When the world's turned away from His teachings
And the people who serve Him are few.

It's not the rewards I'm after
Or gifts that I hope to receive
It's the Presence that calls for commitment.
It's the Spirit I trust and believe.

The Lord doesn't shelter His faithful
Or spare them all suffering and pain,
Like everyone else I have burdens,
And walk through my share of rain.

Yet He gives me a plan and a purpose,
And that joy only Christians have known,
I never know what comes tomorrow,
But I do know I'm never alone...

It's the love always there when you need it;
It's the words that redeem and inspire,
It's the longing to ever be with Him
That burns in my heart like a fire.

So you ask why I love my Lord Jesus?
Well, friend, that's so easy to see,
But the one thing that fills me with wonder is
Why Jesus loves someone like me.

BE THANKFUL~Author Unknown

Colossians 3:i5
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful
Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Be ThankfulBe thankful that you don't already

have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,

for it gives you the opportunity to learn

Be thankful for the difficult times .
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,

because they give you opportunities

for improvement

Be thankful for each new challenge,

because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary ,

because it means you've made a difference .

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who

are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,

and they can become your blessings.

When was the last time?

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME??
God has blessed each of us with a family. Some are there with us, some live far away and some are no more!!
When was the last time you did something special for your mom/dad/spouse/daughter/son/sister/brother/grand-parents?
When was the last time...

  • you gave mom a hug

  • Gave her a call to ask her how she's doing??

  • you told her you loved her?

  • you showed her you care?

  • you wiped her tear away when she cried?

  • you seen her sigh and asked her what was bothering her?

  • you happily ran an errand for her?

  • you gave her a gift?

  • you seen her sick and took care of her?

  • you prayed for her or with her?

  • you told her 'sorry' for hurting her?

  • you rendered to her the honor and respect that was due to her?

  • you talked to her kindly?

  • you helped her with house-hold chores?

  • you felt indebted to her for taking care of you as a child?
    Today take time to make your mom (if she's still around) (and don't forget dad!) feel special...
    Tomorrow may be too late!
Trust this blessed you,

Julia
