There is power in prayer!

So often we face people...
🌾who are too rebellious to give up harmful habits and addictions,
🌾who are too stubborn that they will not listen to good advice or instruction and refuse to be disciplined.
🌾who talk back rudely when you reach out in concern.
What do we do then?
Time to look up to God in prayer.
Because...
"People may refuse our love, our good advice, reject our message, but they are defenseless against our prayers."
SO LET'S PRAY!
In the last days we will confront difficult people but need to pray...them through!
🌺 2 Timothy 3 "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—.."
Prayers will soften hard-hearts, humble the proud, quieten the restless and break stubborn habits and spirits and more!
Time to look to God!
Be blessed

Let us not encourage Gossip

If "A" tells us something negative about "B" let us not quickly believe "A" and form a negative opinion about "B".
It is sad how easily we form our opinion of people from what we hear from others before even trying to get to know that person and trying to find out what the truth really is.
What we hear may not always be correct because they just may be repeating what they heard or felt. If truly concerned to sort out issues it is better to get "A" n "B" face to face and sort out issues.
For our eyes and ears may deceive us.
It's said..in
Proverbs 25:7b & 8a "....what you've seen with your eyes do not bring hastily to court....."
Proverbs 25:9b " ...do not betray another man's confidence..."

You are His treasured possession.

Deuteronomy 14:2 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession.
The Lord has chosen you above all to be a special treasure for Himself!
You are His prized possession!
It does not really matter who talks to you or who does not!
It does not matter who notices you or who ignores you!
It does not matter what people say or think about you.
What is important is what God thinks of you.
It was He who lifted you up from the pit of sin and forgave you and helped you walk this far.
He is still working on you.
You are His treasured possession.
Have a blessed day!

Was wondering...

Was just wondering...
It is easy to pray and sing, "Lord, break our hearts for

what breaks Yours."
But, have we really felt the pain (emotional/physical) people go

through?
Have we taken time to see their silent tear?
Notice the sadness behind their smile?
Have we bent down to lift someone up?
Have we lit a candle for those in darkness and led them to light?
Have we guided someone who is confused?
Have we showed the way to the lost?
Do we know the difficult path some people walk?
Have we shared a meal with the hungry?

When we really see, listen and feel our prayers and words of
encouragement will be more sincere.

"Lord make us more sensitive, caring, loving and
compassionate to the hurting around us Make us more like You Lord

Jesus...."

Being Gentle...

We as God's children are to be 'gentle' and 'kind' too! We need to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. "Gentleness" is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
🌺 Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law."
🌺 Colossians 3:1
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
May God give us a "Gentle and a quite spirit"!
🌺 1 Peter 3:4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
May God help us pursue these things...
🌺 1 Timothy 6:11 "......pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness."

You are precious in God's eyes!

💦 If you are the Lord's Redeemed, it doesn't really matter what people think or say about you. They may be quick to judge from what they see and hear.
💦 But what really matters is what God thinks about you because He is the only One who can see your heart and knows even your innermost thoughts!
💦 It does not really matter in people reject you, God will accept you the way you when you come to Him and He will mould you into a beautiful vessel and make you the apple of His eye and call you a man/woman after His own heart.
💦 In your spiritual walk you sure don't need people who will throw your past on your face but a God who has forgiven your past and remember them no more and reminds of your Glorious future with Him in Heaven.
💦You do not need to feel discouraged listening to the accusations of the devil. He is a 'master deceiver', 'father of all lies' and 'the accuser of the brethren.'
God is still working on each of us so that the day we see Him, we will be like Him!
🌺 1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."
Be encourage reading God's Word and you are Yeshua's beloved!

God bless!

🌺 1 Thessalonians 5:23 "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."

When dad goes and never returns

"Honor your Father & your mother that your days may be long upon the land, which the Lord your God is giving you." Exodus 20:12

Doris Haase writes:

"When my Parents would go away, Mother would tell me that Aunt Ethel was going to take care of me. They always returned.

But when I was 5, Daddy got sick. He went away in an ambulance and Mumma told me he wouldn't be coming home.

When Daddy's strong arms had wrapped around me in a bear hug, I always felt warm & protected. But now everything changed. I crawled far under my blankets at night, trying to feel safe.

My mother came & sat beside me. " You miss daddy don't you honey?", she asked softly. "Well so do I. But you still have a Father-God Who lives in Heaven, let's talk to Him."
"Our Father" she said so earnestly, that I knew someone was really listening. "We need to feel Your Presence so we'll know we are not alone!"
Then she began to cry holding me. I pressed my face against her shoulder and let my tears soak her dress.

"Father-God" I whispered. Slowly a new comforting feeling filled me. I felt safe again, the way I used to when daddy was home,"
By: Doris Haase

Can we tell the dads in our midst how much we love them and appreciate them?
Let us pray for them and speak a blessing over them today & not when they are gone!
God bless all days not just today but always....
Leslie Rajkumar you sure a great dad to your children!!

Whisper a prayer....

So many people pass by us daily, as we walk the street, shop and others we rub shoulders with when we travel by bus/train. We sure can whisper a prayer for the one who sits, walks, stands close to us.
We may not know his/her name, Jesus does and He moves.
One day in eternity we will know the answers to these quick, shooting prayers. What a joy to hear our Lord say, "He's saved, this one was healed and that one missed an accident because you prayed".
Keep praying!

An Interesting Conversation I had with someone on Indian Politics:

This is my 1st political blog! As some of you know when dad was alive, he was a Congress supporter, a congress worker who served the party (and also served in the Church) with dedication all his life, so win or lose, I am an INC supporter and always will be!
I walk dad's path .....

Here below is an Interesting Conversation I had with someone on Indian Politics:

The other day, someone asked me "Why do you still support Congress a 'Sinking ship'"?
I answered, "Because the ship may be struggling to stay afloat now, but it has sailors who are strong, well informed, have faced many storms together, so will get their hands and heads together with the Captain and see it pass through the storm. You think we are underwater? You are mistaken! We still are afloat! You think our sailors are tired? Some may be bowed down but will rise up stronger!"
This person said, "But many sailors are abandoning this ship to save their lives."
I said, "True sailors & warriors stay, let the fence sitters go. Anyways it is hard times that show who are committed. A true "sailor" not only stays around in the most difficult time but will steer us back to ground! A few true "sailors", "warriors" "volunteers" "workers" "leaders" who stay by us through our difficult and dark times, are better than many fairweather followers, who fade away in our hard times."
This person asked, "So you will support Congress always?"
I said, "You doubt that? Look at the ideology of this party, the heritage it has left behind, no party stands in comparison to it. I am and will be a Congress supporter!"
I added, "I don't say the Congress party never failed, has no flaws or has made no mistakes. Who is perfect on earth? But place all the political parties in a plater and ask me to pick one, it will be INC (Indian National Congress)!"
Finally this person said, "You sure are a diehard Congress Supporter!" I said, "You said it right!"
__End of Conversation___

Quote: "Hard'ship' steers us towards our real strengths" To any INC (Indian National Congress) leader, member, supporters, worker, volunteers, warriors, gatekeeper, flag bearer, cheerleader, SM activists reading this I would say, "it is not over, all is not lost, keep giving your best and be the change you want to see around. Soon we will gain the lost grounds one step at a time, one seat at a time. Let each of us be the change we want to see around."
Always an INC supporter,
Julia

Tears of a Praying woman

Greetings...
Tears move God's heart. Tears are usually associated with women but men cry too!! When we are overwhelmed with joy, pain, sadness, separation, our eyes swell up with tears.
The Bible says...
🌸🌿PSALM 126:5 Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.
But here I write about the tears of a praying woman.
The tears of a woman who prays (that may be our mother, grand-mother, wife, sister, friend) can do wonders.
When a woman cries out to God (well He'll listen to the cries of men too) God's heart is moved. He keeps a record of every tear.
PSALM 56:8 "Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll are they not in your record? "
These tears shed at the Lord's feet can result in healing of the sick, bring restoration, save a prodigal son, a rebellious daughter or change a spouse who's an alcoholic or a friend struggling with an addiction.
Jesus Christ our Lord, cares for all that concerns us. When we are discouraged and feel no one understands let's remember our Lord keeps even a record of our tears.
Isn't that comforting?
🌿🌸PSALM 39:12 "Hear my prayer, O LORD, listen to my cry for help;
Even as we sow in tears we'll reap in joy!
As we bow down before HIM & lay our burdens at His feet with tears, we'll rise up with joy!
Tears move God's heart.
🌿🌸In Luke 7:10-15, we see a widow cry over the death of her only son and Jesus was touched and told her not to cry and raised her son from the dead.
🌿🌸Luke 7:13 "When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don't cry." 14 Then he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" 15 The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother."
Today when we cry about situation that may seem dead and lifeless to us, God will give us hope by giving life and reviving that situation.
Again in Luke 7:36-43, we see a woman who lived a sinful life came and sat at the feet of Jesus and wet His feet with her tears.
🌿🌸Luke 7: 37 "When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, 38 and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears."
People around her did not understand but Jesus seen her repentant heart, her love and noticed every tear she shed at His feet.
🌿🌸Luke 7:44 "Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little."
Today let's take all that burdens us to our Lord in prayer. Let's cry out to Him and He will hear us, He will help us and give the desires of our hearts.
Be blessed,
Julia🌺🌿

Being there for the aged and elderly in our midst!

Thara (who is like my daughter) and me, visited a senior citizen's home this evening.
Met a 91 year old gentleman there, He asked our names etc. When we told him we just stopped by to say "Hello" to him, he was so..happy. He looked to be from a very good family but said how he does feel lonely now etc. !
When we asked him if we could get him something he liked to eat next time, he said, "No. I get all here" but requested we go meet him whenever we can!
When we prayed for him and about to leave he 1st held Thara's hands & then my hands and spoke blessing over us! This was priceless!
What a blessing it was for us!
This reminded of how and why the blessings of the elderly in a family was so important in Biblical times.
This gentleman reminded us, "We all will grow old one day and some don't know that." and sighed!
When we asked another elderly, "What do you want?" the reply was "I want you both to come again." (brought tears in our eyes)
Came home thinking of how true this is!
When old all one needs is God and people who loved and cared around!
This is the valuable lesson we both learnt today.
May the Lord bless the aged, elderly in our midst!
Good Night,
Julia

True Friends

#thankgodfortruefriends
#TrueFriends not only stay around in our most difficult times but will lead us out back into the light!
When we can't find a way out, and do not know how to come out of a situation, they not only give a hand but will show us a way to get out of the maze we are caught in!
A few #TrueFriends who stay by us through our #difficult and #dark times, are better than many #fairweather friends, who fade away in our hard times.
In The Bible many of Job's friends left him when he was going through the most difficult time of his life.
Job 19:14 My relatives have failed, And my close friends have forgotten me.
Job 19:19 All my close friends abhor me, And those whom I love have turned against me.
The fact of life is...
Proverbs 14:20 "The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor, But the rich has many friends."
But the truth is, 'True Friends' will love at all times! #Period!
Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity."
Today let us thank God for all our true friend, loves ones who stay by our side through thick & thin, good times & bad times, our highs & lows, up & down!
But the greatest love and the Best ever friend we can have is our Lord Jesus Christ!
If we follow Him and keep His commandments, He calls us His friends!
John 15:14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
And what more, He laid His life for us!
John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends."
God bless,
Julia

Unless we become like little children...

Jesus Christ our Lord said,
“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3
Little children are innocent, their love is pure and not corrupted by this world! They are not selfish, do not hold grudge and smile easily and trust totally! And our Lord wants us to become like little kids!
Children are a gift from God. He entrusted them to us. There are angels assigned to watch over little children.
Matthew 18: 10 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven."
And these angels always watch the Father's face. So we need to value our kids, each of them are special in God's eyes.
Let kids not be aborted or ignored. God cares for a child, right from when it's formed in it's mothers womb.
They are precious!
HEBREWS 11:23 says,"By Faith Moses' parents hid him for 3 months after he was born because they say he was no ordinary child and they were not afraid of the king's edict."
† Every child on earth is special because God has great plans for each of them.

" RAIN WASHED "(A touching story...) (Author Unknown)

Children teach us valuable lessons!
" RAIN WASHED "(A touching story...)

(Author Unknown)
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in, "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said. "What?" Mom asked.
"Let's run through the rain!" She repeated.
"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated, "Mom, let's run through the rain."
"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
"This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?"
" Don't you remember? When you were
talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, He can get us through anything!'"
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it of and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
"Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If God let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing" Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching,
smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But "no one can ever take away your precious memories. So, don't forget to make time and take opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.

I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN !!!
